1. We live overseas or interstate, how do I apply to enrol if I currently live outside the local area?

Limited places are available to students living outside the local intake area.
An Expression of Interest for an out of area enrolment is required to be submitted for parents, carers and students living outside the local intake area.

Some out of area applications may be considered for our Specialist or Gifted and Talented Programs with specific eligibility requirements.

All international student enrolments are managed through TAFE International Western Australia.
Enrolment enquiries can be directed to admissions.tiwa@dtwd.wa.gov.au.

Students in Years 5 and 6 apply online for entry in Year 7 by a set date in March each year and complete the testing, trials or interview components.

Is previous experience necessary to join?

No prior experience is necessary. Programs are designed for students at all levels from Year 7 to Year 12 and those with some interest. Training will start from the basics and progress to more advanced topics.

Are there any extra costs?

While the school covers the majority of the program’s costs there may be additional fees for materials, instructors, flight hours and extracurricular activities.

We encourage walking, riding or bus travel to and from school.

There are a number of School Specials and regular Transperth bus routes that students use.

Why not drop your child at one of the bus stops along the route?

All students who are late to school are required to sign into Compass on arrival at Student Services and provided with a printed pass for class.
Lates are recorded on attendance records and added to Compass.

Mobile phones

Use of mobile phones, watches or other portable devices during school hours are required to be ‘Off and Away All Day’. Mobile phones are not approved devices and students should not connect mobile phones to the school Wi-Fi at any time.

A list of recommended laptops are available through Winthrop Australia.

A laptop or tablet can be purchased from a supplier of your choice as long as the approved, personally owned student digital device is:

  • an up-to-date laptop or tablet
  • able to receive updates to maintain its security status
  • equipped with a strong protective case with a keyboard
