Health and Physical Education
A large portion of the time in HPE is spent developing communication skills, leadership, a commitment to improvement (growth mindset), problem-solving skills and empathy to support students to not only be successful in physical activity and make good healthy decisions but also look out for and support others, making them ready and able to contribute positively to their communities upon graduating high school. As part of the Health and Physical Education school activities the school undertakes House Swimming Carnival, House Athletics Carnival and House Cross Country.
Why study
We offer a range of senior school courses including ATAR & General Health Studies and Physical Education Studies, General Outdoor Education and a Certificate III in Aquatics, providing students with opportunities to explore their interests, develop required skills and knowledge and focus on strengths to prepare them for a wide array of post-secondary pathways.
Specialised Facilities
We have a range of specialised facilities including a newly constructed sports hall which features one full sized court with spectator space, fitness/recovery room and classrooms, this is adjacent to our oval and outdoor courts. We also have an outdoor (soon to be heated) 25 metre pool and another indoor gymnasium with full changerooms for the students.
