Welcome to Melville Senior High School

It is a privilege to welcome you to Melville Senior High School, an award-winning school community that has been on Whadjuk Noongar country since 1960.

As a faculty member since 2022 and residing in the City of Melville, I understand our community, students and our families’ expectations for educational success.

We are incredibly proud of our school’s accomplishments. Our students achieve outstanding successes, as demonstrated by the recent awarding of the Beazley Medal and WA School-Based Apprentice of the Year. Our school has been recognised for our exceptional work which is highlighted in our 2024 Public School Review.

Melville Senior High School offers a range of highly successful programs, including Gifted and Talented, specialist programs in Aviation, Graphic Design Media and Netball, as well as school-based programs in Music and Academic Extension. We have developed innovative partnerships to support these programs, such as the 2024 Memorandum of Understanding with Qantas Airways and Flight Training Adelaide to promote the Qantas Group Pilot Academy. Melville is one of only two schools in Australia, and the only school in Western Australia to have this partnership.

Our Intensive English Centre provides additional support to meet students’ English language needs and adds to our dynamic and inclusive school environment.

At Melville we provide a comprehensive education focused on supporting the whole student. Our exceptional teachers and support staff deliver a variety of programs designed to cultivate the essential 21st-century skills needed for future success.
